🚀 September Release Notes

Each month, we share a summary of the latest improvements, fixes, and enhancements delivered to inCase. As the platform is continuously evolving, these updates help keep you informed about the value being delivered across the product.

All of the enhancements below are already live, with no action required from your firm.

📋More Flexible Questionnaires and an Improved Admin Experience

We've enhanced the questionnaire builder with a new Boolean + Date question type, allowing users to capture a simple yes/no response alongside a related date within a single question.

This is ideal for scenarios where you need to confirm whether an action has been completed and record when it took place, helping to create more efficient, intuitive questionnaires while reducing the need for multiple linked questions.

Alongside this enhancement, we've also delivered a number of usability improvements across the Admin Panel, making everyday configuration and management tasks quicker, clearer, and easier for administrators.

✅ A Smoother, More Reliable User Experience

We've resolved an issue that could prevent certain case updates from appearing in the web portal, which in some circumstances could also generate an error when refreshing the page.

Affected updates will now display correctly, ensuring users always have access to the latest case information.

We've also made improvements to the reliability of case search functionality, helping searches return results more consistently and accurately.

🔗 Strengthening Connectivity Across Access Legal

A significant proportion of this month's development work has focused on strengthening the foundations that connect inCase with the wider Access Legal ecosystem.

This includes improvements to the reliability, security, and performance of the connections that operate behind the scenes between systems. Whilst these changes won't be immediately visible in day-to-day use, they form an important part of our ongoing programme to deliver even deeper integration between your Access Legal solutions in the future.

🔒 Security, Stability and Performance Enhancements

Security remains a key priority.

Throughout the month, we completed a further round of security and dependency updates across the inCase platform, addressing identified vulnerabilities and ensuring the application remains aligned with the standards expected within the legal sector.

These updates help strengthen the protection of your firm's data, improve platform resilience, and maintain compliance with evolving security best practices.

In addition, we've carried out a range of behind-the-scenes platform improvements designed to support long-term stability, performance, and reliability.

As always, all updates were applied automatically, with no action required from users.

👀 Looking Ahead

We're continuing to invest in improvements across functionality, performance, security, and integration, and we'll share more updates in next month's release summary.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or feedback, please speak to your Account Manager or contact the inCase Support Team.

Carter-Ruck - The Future of Regulatory Access to Privileged Material

Carter-Ruck isn't really about what regulators can't see.

It's about whether law firms can prove they're doing the right thing when regulators can't see everything.

The judgment reinforces the importance of legal professional privilege, but it also highlights the need for robust governance, clear compliance records and defensible decision-making.

Rosanna Davenport's article shares her thoughts on the wider implications for law firms and compliance professionals. Read now >
