Welcome to your July update. This month brings the biggest change we've shared in a while: a redesigned inCase admin portal that we're now ready to open up to every firm. Alongside it, we've made questionnaires more flexible, made sure signed documents and client packs arrive complete and in the right place, and smoothed out the everyday moments in the app - all while continuing to strengthen the security and stability of the platform. Here's what's new.
A redesigned admin portal
We've redesigned the inCase admin portal to make your day-to-day administration simpler and faster. The new version brings a cleaner, more intuitive interface - navigation has been streamlined so the things you use most are easier to find, and managing users, reviewing cases, and checking ID verification status all feel more straightforward.
There's more for the people who set up your client journeys, too. You can create a questionnaire directly from your list of questionnaires, search your template library to find the right starting point in seconds, and see more at a glance - and when something needs your attention, the on-screen guidance is clearer, so it's obvious what to fix and why.
A selected group of firms tried the new portal this month, and we're now ready to make it available to everyone. If you'd like to take part, please get in touch through the usual support channel and we'll get you set up.
Smarter, more flexible questionnaires
We've expanded what your questionnaires can capture. You can now use new question types - including a combined yes/no-with-date question, an address lookup, and a full bank-details question - so you gather cleaner, more complete information first time and save your clients from re-entering things later.
We've also fixed a set of issues that were getting in the way. Answers now save reliably on more complex question types where some responses could previously be lost, multiple-choice answers now display as the actual answer rather than a code, and duplicate copies of a questionnaire no longer appear. Finishing a questionnaire is tidier as well, with the close button now returning clients to the summary screen so they can see exactly what's left.
Signing and documents that arrive complete and correct
Signing is more reliable this month. A questionnaire will no longer show as finished before every signature is in, which also stops clients receiving repeat emails when a document needs more than one signature. Where a firm has asked for it, signer names can be kept hidden next to signatures.
We've also made sure documents arrive as they should. Generated documents now display properly straight after they're created, client care packs reliably reach the clients they're meant for, and we've resolved an issue that could stop a document being uploaded through our document interface. Property questionnaire outputs are more complete too, with missing details addressed and a new template to cover them.
A smoother, more dependable app
Several changes make the app calmer to use day to day. Your clients will no longer be logged out mid-task by an inactivity timer, so a form part-completed stays put.
Opening a photo or document that's already been uploaded no longer risks the app closing - clients can view their attachments as expected. We've also firmed up sign-in and access so clients aren't unexpectedly locked out, keep access to their cases, and reliably receive their messages in the inbox, and we've added the ability to download documents. Requesting a new password is safer, with the button protected against accidental repeat taps.
Automatic reminders that keep things moving
Chasing outstanding actions takes time. This month we introduced timed reminder emails that automatically nudge your clients about outstanding items, so more gets completed without your team having to follow up manually.
If you would like to use this, please get in touch through the usual support channel to have it switched on.
Continued security and reliability
As every month, a good deal of our work happens quietly in the background. We applied the latest security patches, hardened the parts of the platform that generate and convert your documents, and made a range of stability improvements. None of this changes how you use inCase day to day; it simply keeps the foundations strong.
Questions or Feedback?
We'd love to hear how these updates are working for you. If you have any questions, spot anything that isn't quite right, or have ideas for what you'd like to see next, please get in touch with us through the usual support channel - and if you'd like to take part in the redesigned admin portal, just say the word. Your feedback directly shapes where we take inCase next.
