Product Update - August 2026

Written by Danielle Park

Welcome to your August product update. Each month we share a summary of the improvements, fixes and enhancements delivered to inCase. As the platform is updated continuously, these wrap-ups are designed to keep you informed of the value being delivered on an ongoing basis — all of the changes below are already live, with no action required on your part.

More flexible questionnaires and a refined admin panel

The questionnaire builder now supports a new boolean-date question type, letting you capture a yes/no answer together with an associated date in a single question — for example, confirming whether a step has been completed and recording when. It's a small addition that makes questionnaires more expressive and reduces the need to split related information across multiple questions.

Alongside this, we've made a series of interface enhancements to the admin panel, making everyday tasks clearer and quicker to complete for the administrators managing your firm's setup.

A smoother, more reliable experience

We've resolved an issue where certain case updates were not displaying in the web portal, and could produce an error when the page was refreshed. Updates of this type now appear correctly, so your team sees the full, up-to-date picture of a case.

We've also improved the reliability of case search, so searches return results consistently and dependably.

Laying the groundwork for closer integration

Much of this month's work went into strengthening the foundations that connect inCase with the wider Access Legal suite. This includes more reliable and more secure connections between systems behind the scenes. While these changes aren't visible in your day-to-day use today, they lay the groundwork for tighter integration across your Access Legal tools in the coming months.

Ongoing security and platform improvements

As always, we completed a further round of security and dependency updates across the inCase platform, addressing identified vulnerabilities and keeping the platform current. These updates strengthen the protection of your data and ensure inCase continues to meet the security standards expected within the legal sector. All updates were applied automatically — no action was required. We also carried out a range of behind-the-scenes platform improvements to support ongoing stability and performance.

Coming up

We'll share more in next month's update. In the meantime, if you have any questions or feedback, please contact your account manager or the inCase support team.
